Lake Powell

The weekend before last, while at drill, a Chaplin asked us who wasn't married, and if we would like to go on a paid fishing trip to Lake Powell, and to take a class on "How not to fall in love with a Jerk" So my two friends, Guy and Taylor, and I all signed up and took this weekend off to go fishing. We got there late Friday night and went to our first class. Saturday Morning came and the weather had changed to cold and rainy. Guy and Taylor didn't bring any wet gear, so we decided not to go on the all day fishing trip in the boat (they were gone from 9am to 6pm). We went to the Glen Canyon dam and took a tour of it. When we got out, the sun was shining so we went on one of the many hikes there. It was a fun hike, the sand made it a challenge and the rock formations there are really cool.

The Arch was our main focus of the hike, We went on top of it, it was very high, i chickened out on going onto it, I just don't like heights very much, especially when I'm about to get married soon.

If you look off to the left, you can see a huge Eagles nest

This was cool, it looked like a man riding a horse, only that the horse had fallen apart already.

A cool side cave we explored. The hike was said to be 4 miles round trip, but i think we did 5 altogether. We explored and hikes around a lot, it was a lot of fun but we were all very sore at the end of the day.
